Why Do I Do This?

Question is self explanatory. Why the hell do I keep doing this to myself? Just a few days ago, I found a REAL nice truck. Everything I want, almost no rust, etc. Great, right? Well, besides texting the guy, I just waited around, constantly sifting through the pictures in the CL ad. Finally, I texted him today, only to be told the truck already sold. Now I’m pissed off at myself for letting such a nice thing slip. I’ve done this like 3 times now. I keep telling myself to jump on shit like this before someone else does, but I never do until its too late. I know, its not really a big problem, but I’m just tired of my own indecisiveness.

Have a V8 Vantage, I guess.

I’ve always thought that missing out on something is way better than buyer’s remorse. Maybe you just need time to consider whether you actually want the vehicle/thing or not, and if you’re too late - well then no worries because you never had it to begin with. It’s the fleeting feeling of missing out before you go hunting for something else and forget all about it vs. buying something on a whim because you think you want it, but later realising you’ve made a rash decision.

For the truck I was looking to get, I knew I would have to do that. I stumbled across a deal I could not believe, and after I received enough info to be convinced that it was legit (and a steal), I bought it the following morning.

Yeah, the feeling definitely doesn’t stay. Its just irritating as hell when it lingers for a short while, you know?

See, that’s my problem. I find the truck, make sure its legit, talk to the owner, etc. Then, right when I’m sure that it is the one, I start to flake out on myself. And then it gets sold, and the process restarts.

I’d rather have that problem than the inverse, where you quickly buy something then find you didn’t get a great deal. Another one will always come along.

That car is reminiscent of a Fastback Mustang.

Yeah, that’s what most people say about it. Kinda funny. Cool car, nonetheless.

This.... all the time, this. So many times I’ve searched and searched and finally what I want pops up in a little worse condition at a little higher price pops up, so I bite. Then I get it home and realize it’s in far worse shape than I thought... Then 2 days later I find one in great shape at a great price, but I already spent my money on a turd.
